Bernardino, Valisa

Valisa is a West Coast artist hailing from Southern California. Her illustration style lands on the shore of surrealism and features subjects that are predominately nature and organic based. Her inspiration is gathered from a variety of sources and she is influenced by self introspection, using her art to explore the fruits of her musing. Many of her pieces are heavily composed of the equivalent of floral graffiti and arthropod infestation, coupled with themes ranging from macabre to metaphorical. Currently, she shares her art via social media and has been featured on various curated artist pages.

Valisa is the Resident Artist at Cement Covered Ink Quills Press. Her illustrations can be seen on the covers of Rania M. Watts’ books Accordions and Moustaches, Summer to Summer Rewind, and Cement Covered Ink Quills and Rarities, as well as, the Horror Anthology, Twisted, published by Manic Raven Press.
