I grew up in a home full of art and music: my father and grandfather were painters who deeply influenced me. Painting became a friend, a way to express feelings and document moments in my life.
After moving to the U.S. four years ago, I began painting from observation, attempting to notice the regular, mundane things you might not look twice at in everyday life.. Things that reveal something interesting if we pay a little more attention. Everything still feels new and fresh to my eyes, and I often add a touch of the surreal to heighten a subject’s presence.
