My artistry/experience is made up of reckonings/reconciliations:

Out of these intersections, I create stories of tension, both sexual and socio-political. I recognize that my Black body and my queerness will never be neutral, and choose to embrace the activism that is inherent to my being me.
My recent works are informed by an influx of life-changing conversations and moments held with other QPoC.
I am currently working on my fourth studio album and its accompanying visuals, and painting a series of images inspired by the work of the late filmmaker Marlon Riggs. Riggs did groundbreaking work in the ‘80s and ‘90s to destigmatize homosexuality and HIV+ status in the Black American community.
